Downloading Cheshire3

Below are links to the source packages for Cheshire3, version 0.9.3 (2006-10-10) and the install script.

• build.sh (install script)
• cheshire3-base.tgz (Base install, required)
• cheshire3-web.tgz (For web and Z39.50 front ends)
• cheshire3-textmining.tgz (For NLP and related tasks)
• cheshire3-sql.tgz (For relational database interaction, not required)
• cheshire3-grid.tgz (Being updated)
• cheshire3-formats.tgz (Being updated)

Sample databases for you to play with, copy and modify for your own requirements:

• db_dc.tgz (Simple Dublin Core database)
• db_marc.tgz (Being updated)
• db_ead.tgz (Being updated)
• db_pdf.tgz (Being updated)

To install, download the packages that you want. Put them all in the base directory where you want everything to be installed to, and run build.sh.

To build by hand, either step through the instructions in build.sh, or look at the installation documenation.
